Story of The Airport

Juanda International Airport – Surabaya, Indonesia

Well, I have to admit that this is my first journey going abroad, and I made it my own myself! So what I feel right now? Umm.. I’m not really sure actually. It could be confused, or happy, yet amazing, but challenging! What a trip!

After I pass all the check in session in the airport and waving goodbye to Surabaya, I went to boarding room. But I remember of my check in session before. Here the story between Mas-mas Ai* A**a di check in counter (M), Aku (A), and Dinda (D).

M: Pagi silakan.
Kenal ga?
A: *bingung* Umm, kayana gatau deh
D: Oh, kayana yang kemarin ikut gathering AIESEC alumni itu kali
M: Mau aku kenalin? Ntar deh ya aku temuin sama dia.

Next we got our seat number. Feel disappointed because our seat is separated :( but then Dinda ask me:

D: yah gag deketan
A: Iya nih ah gag enak mana seru
D: oh abiz ini kan ketemu masnya, sapa tau bisa mindahin kita duduk bareng
A: Oh iya.. semoga aja deh :p

After we pass the immigration session, one man come to us and said he’ll made us met him.
Great!

In front of boarding room, we met him. Have some little chit chat about AIESEC, and then we find the fact that he was a former of President of AIESEC LC Surabaya. We met a great people here! :D
As the prediction, he could change our seats, not only just in the same seat but for the bonus we got the Hot Seat for free! In the front of the plane! What an unexpected thing! :D I think this is what we called networking :p

Until we sat in front of the plane, we, me and Dinda, still can’t believe these miracles. Hahaha. Unforgettable!

As the plane set in boarding position, I whispered:

See you in the next two months Surabaya! :D

Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Ok. So this is the international airport of Malaysia. From the plane I can see those hills surround the airport. First time I stepped out from the plane, I felt wow, it’s hotter than Surabaya. Afterwards, we took a foot to get inside the airport, have another check in session for transit passenger. It’s good here because they still understand Indonesia’s language so I don’t have to use English, not yet. :p

When I finally got inside the airport, wow, it’s crowded actually, but still it’s clean and good. Then we decided to find a prayer room to have some prays. I feel good to be here because this airport equipped with free wifi. Haha, I make it for updating my status on facebook, a cheaper way to inform all the people, including my parent, my family, my friends, and GD, where I am now, lol.

Moments later, I sat and having lunch with Dinda in the café inside the airport. They have no rice, so we decided to have (just) spaghetti. And also a cup of hot milo for me :p
Well, it’s boarding room time! I just can’t wait for the journey to start. :) I look around for some people inside the boarding. Ya, they’re (almost) all Indian people. The foreigners are just me, Dinda, and 4 or 5 bule from another country.

After we already sat nicely inside the plane, make a wish and pray for the safe flight, I’m yelling inside:
India! I’m comiiiiiiing! :DD

Indira Gandhi International Airport – Delhi, India

Wow, it’s the longest and the furthest trip in my life. But I don’t know why I don’t feel so tired at all, while Dinda started to complaining of tires is she. Well, it’s also far away from the plane to the main airport, so we have to take 5 or maybe more walking escalator to get there. Arrived in immigration session, we need to answered some simple questions about the purpose of our arrival in India, then where will we stay during internship, etc, and simply we just answered the embassy of Indonesia, and the men in immigration session let us passed easily without asking more details :p

Now, move to the baggage claim session. It took a very long time to wait out luggage come. Why? I don’t know for sure, we waited for 15 minutes. The baggage of our friend from China, Jessie, already come, but not with our luggage. Started to panic, I decided to ask some people in baggage counter, but they said only “Just wait it, Miss”, then I’ll go back to the place where I left Dinda, and thanks god she finally found our luggage :)

Ok. Another trouble.
Our mobile phone and sim card can’t work here, when actually we have to make some calls. So we just can trust the people who pick us up, hope they’re already arrived. And thanks god, in the gate, I found one boy whose face looks so Indonesia, calling us and, yeah, we met them easily! Another ease from god :)

First time I stepped my feet in India’s road, then I feel so cold. It’s winter here now, but it feels like in Cuban Rois.
Ok, colder I think.

But, c’mon! Realize it!
You are now arrived safely in New Delhi.
You’re now in India!
It means:
The Journey has started!! :D
